Waikato Biodiversity Forum

The Waikato Biodiversity Forum is a partnership between research and management agencies, iwi groups, private landowners, and communities. It undertakes projects in relation to protecting and enhancing native biodiversity in the Waikato region.

It is a voluntary organisation which operates independently of  management agencies and a part-time coordinator runs the activities of the Forum.  Activities undertaken include advocating for the development of policy and objectives to enhance biodiversity, running events and workshops, providing media article to newspapers and providing resources on biodiversity to community groups.  Anyone is welcome to be part of the Forum and it is free to join.   Biodiversity Advice Waikato is a Forum service  providing free information and advice about NZ's native plants and animals and the region's natural environment.
Phone 0800BIODIV (246348) to join the Forum and/or get advice.
