The Bokashi system “pickles” organic waste - as opposed to the lengthy decaying process that occurs with traditional composting. The Bokashi system produces nutrient rich compost in less than half the time as traditional composting and without the unpleasant smells normally associated with composting - making it a perfect solution when outside garden space is limited, or for indoor use (many people place theirs under the kitchen sink).
