The Miranda Naturalists' Trust offers educational activities, a resource kit, workshops, and opportunities for research at the centre on the Firth of Thames, Pokeno.
The Trust is involved with studying bird migration, and owns and operates the Miranda Shorebird Centre which offers a range of events and education programmes throughout the year.
The Miranda Shore Bird Centre also has intepretive displays, including talks such as bird basics and biology, estuaries, shorebird migration, and related conservation issues, followed by excursions into the field.
The centre also boasts rooms for hire, and accommodation.
